The Theory Test
Preparing for the theory test
The Test | Theory Test
Before you can take the practical driving test, all learners must first pass the Theory Test which is comprised of two parts. Remember, if you fail one of these two elements, then you have to retake both again.
The first part is comprised of 50 multiple choice questions and you must get 43 correct.
The Test | Hazard Perception Test
This second part of the Theory Test is the ‘Hazard Perception’.
This is designed to test your reactions and ability to spot hazards i.e. anything that would make you change your speed or direction.
There are a serious of 14 different clips and featured scenarios. It is filmed as if you are driving a car through various scenes involving potential hazards. For example, a boy may run into the road, or they may be a car-reversing etc. Once you have identified the developing hazard, you are expected to press the mouse button in response. However, there is a window of opportunity – the sooner you spot and click, the more points you score.
You are required to score 44 out of a possible 75 points. For further information and to book your test click below to the official website:

At the end of the test you will be told if you passed or failed.
